Filing IFTA for Oregon miles
Oregon taxes heavy trucks mainly through its weight-mile tax, which is why Oregon has no IFTA diesel rate. Trucks that report all their Oregon miles under the weight-mile tax are exempt from Oregon's use fuel tax.
If you have an Oregon IFTA account, you still file a separate weight-mile tax report with ODOT in addition to your quarterly fuel tax report. Oregon plans to change this on July 1, 2029, when heavy trucks start paying fuel tax along with a reduced weight-mile tax.
